Buccaneer Bay has been a staple of Weeki Wachee Springs for years! The natural clarity and refreshing feel of the water is a treat on any hot day! The park includes multiple water slides that end with a splash in the spring and a children's area with small slide and tunnel. Lifeguards are on watch at all attractions making it safe for swimmers of any level. The water is naturally a cool 72° year round so if your visiting during the colder months you have an increased chance of encountering a few gentle giants swimming with you (manatees)! Also, there is a snack bar and small gift shop available to browse with items including floats, bathing suits, towels, sunscreen and more. If your looking to bring lunch or snacks, small coolers are welcome into the park. Beach chairs and umbrellas are first come first serve so be sure to get there early if your looking for a good spot to lounge. Tubes are also available to rent for a river ride or to swim with in the swimming area. Also in the swimming area there is a dock which you can swim to (experienced swimmers recommended) and jump off of. Great place for families looking for a fun freshwater beach experience!
